SHIFTING PERSPECTIVES
I grew up on a farm on Hunsdorf Street, and the journey from Mullendorf to Lorentzweiler has always captivated me. As a child, I would imagine the lives inside the houses we passed. My fascination with mixing fiction and reality, inspired me to create strange atmospheres in my work. Rediscovering these villages on foot, I aimed to capture their unique atmospheres without photographing people. However, I soon realized that my vision was incomplete without the human element. Instead of posed portraits, I discreetly photographed passers by from my car, recreating the feeling of observing them from the back seat as a child. This artistic approach invites viewers to explore these places through my nostalgic perspective, creating a suspended space for imagination.

REGARDS SUR LE COMMUNE DE LORENTZWEILER - Every year, the municipality of Lorentzweiler invites a photographer to spend several months exploring and documenting life across its villages. The goal of this artistic residency is to offer a personal and creative view of the commune—its people, places, and everyday moments. Through photography, each invited artist captures a unique perspective on the area, creating a visual archive that reflects the identity and character of Lorentzweiler. Over time, the series becomes a portrait of Lorentzweiler as seen through many different eyes.
