EMPTY HOME

We were in Madrid. We had the keys to an apartment, but the door couldn’t be locked. That alone felt like an invitation to uncertainty. No one was there, and yet it didn’t feel empty. At night, strange sounds echoed through the rooms: pipes, footsteps, maybe something else. The apartment was full of ordinary things, but everything seemed to hold a quiet story. It felt like stepping into someone’s life without being seen. Like entering a private world, not quite meant for us, but left open just enough.

The work was shown as a series of photographs, accompanied by a video (link) and an original song - lyrics and music by Daniel Balthasar.
A single handmade artist book was also created for the exhibition.
