RETROUVAILLES
Since the invention of photography people have felt the need to write down the dates, the names or small fragments of phrases on the hidden side of the image. By doing so, they intensified the memory, creating some sort of double memory. The work entitled “Retrouvailles” shows that these little notes give back life to a picture believed to be dead. Sometimes, all you need is one single phrase to illuminate the image. (This work is part of Moving Through Time - At the Discovery of Disappearance)
